Window & Door Care
Simple care to keep your new windows and doors looking and working great.
Glass cleaning
Use a soft cloth and mild glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals that can damage Low-E coatings. Rinse with clean water.
Frame care
Wash vinyl and fiberglass frames with mild soap and water. Aluminum frames need occasional cleaning to remove salt deposits—especially near the coast.
Hardware and tracks
Lubricate moving parts and locks with a silicone-based lubricant. Keep sliding door tracks clear of debris and vacuum them regularly.
Weep holes
Check and clear weep holes so water can drain properly. Blocked weep holes can cause water to pool.
Inspect seals
Annually check weatherstripping and seals. Report any fogging between panes—it may indicate a failed seal covered under warranty.
Always follow the manufacturer's specific care instructions provided with your warranty documents.
